چکیده

This review presents a new model for multidisciplinary approach to development of modern forage cultivars enable high-value meat and wool production in the mixed farming zones Australia. Many pasture improvement activities focus on biomass production, filling novel agro-ecological niches, fixing nitrogen phenotypic markers. Key traits that drive profitability livestock, such as feeding value (FV), nutritive (NV), are rarely considered timely manner. Farmers often not seriously engaged until late pipeline. Of nearly 10 000 publications reference or breeding Australia, less than 5% also ruminant factors FV, metabolisable energy, digestibility, methane toxicity abstract, title keywords. NIRS: Forage analysis and livestock feeding

This paper describes analysis by near infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS) and demonstrates the capacity of this technology to provide rapid, low cost and accurate estimates of feed composition. The need for an extensive database against which the instruments is calibrated and the importance of good wet chemistry backup to NIRS are emphasised, together with some of the diverse uses for NIRS...

Why Contextual Preference Reversals Maximize Expected Value

Contextual preference reversals occur when a preference for one option over another is reversed by the addition of further options. It has been argued that the occurrence of preference reversals in human behavior shows that people violate the axioms of rational choice and that people are not, therefore, expected value maximizers. In contrast, we demonstrate that if a person is only able to make...
